Abhijit Saha is the founding director and Chef of Avant Garde Hospitality Pvt Ltd and currently owns and operates two critically acclaimed premium restaurants in Bangalore, Caperberry and Fava. India's premier newspaper DNA has chosen him as one of the '50 Most Influential Persons' of Bangalore. In December 2011 he has won the Jury Special Chef of the year Award at the Hotelier India Awards. Previously he was awarded the prestigious 'IFCA Entrepreneur Chef of the Year' and the SICA 'Golden Hat' for outstanding contribution towards the profession of Chefs. Rated amongst the top 10 chefs in the country by Outlook magazine, he is an expert in Classical and Modern European Cuisine & Regional Indian cuisine. Chef Saha has been invited by the Culinary Institute of America as a Guest Chef and Speaker at 'The World of Flavours Conference'. He is a member of the elite team of chefs from across the world selected to participate in the 'World Culinary Arts' DVD which has won the 'James Beard Foundation' award. He is also a member of the voting panel for the London based ‘Restaurant’ magazine’s annual list of 'Top 50 Restaurants of the World'.
