Best Sustainability Practice presented by BBC Good Food Middle East
The award recognizes an organization, campaign, initiative or establishment that demonstrates leadership and commitment to the enhancement, preservation and protection of specific produce and ingredients in Abu Dhabi. The project must be based in United Arab Emirates region. Research and Demonstration (R&D) projects and products are not eligible and judging for the award will be done by the organizer.
Fairmont Bab Al Bahr
Best Use Of Local Produce presented by Local Harvest
This award recognizes the best use of local produce in a dish by a chef from any establishment or restaurants. A recipe has to be submitted along with a photograph of the dish and an explanation behind the creation in no more than 200 words. Finalist would need to re-create the dish for tasting by the selected panel to determine the recipient.

This award recognises a restaurant chef who is directly involved in the daily running of the premise and responsible for the food and beverage in an Abu Dhabi restaurant. Eligible candidates must have consistently set high culinary standards, deliver superior dining experiences and a minimum six (06) months working in the restaurant/restaurant chain

Restaurant Of The Year presented by Motivate
This award recognises a restaurant/restaurant chain that promotes quality and excellence in food, atmosphere and service. Eligible restaurants must have been in operation for a minimum of six (06) months, demonstrate a well-maintained standard of excellence in all culinary and service aspects including hygiene and cleanliness. The nominee should also consistently set new standards of cuisine and service excellence.

Restaurant Manager Of The Year
This award recognises a professional and knowledgeable restaurant manager. The nominee will demonstrate a superior competence in managing a successful restaurant operation, focusing on driving revenue and a leader in motivating his or her staff.  Eligible candidates must have been working as a manager in a restaurant/restaurant chain in Abu Dhabi that promotes culinary and service excellence for a minimum of six (06) months.

This award recognises a professional, knowledgeable and highly competent individual who is managing a successful ethnic or Middle Eastern-inspired cuisine outlet. Eligible candidates must have been working in an Abu Dhabi restaurant/restaurant chain that promotes service excellence for a minimum of six (06) months.

This award recognises a professional, knowledgeable restaurant host who consistently delivers superior service standards. The nominee should demonstrate a high degree of competence of hospitality and service in a successful restaurant operation. Eligible candidates must have been working as a service staff in an Abu Dhabi-based restaurant/restaurant chain that promotes culinary and service excellence for a minimum of six (06) months.

Regional Cuisine Chef Of The Year
This award recognises an individual who is directly involved in a restaurant operation and demonstrates a high level of talent and creativity in preparing ethnic or Middle Eastern-inspired cuisine. Eligible candidates must have consistently set standards of excellence in the culinary arts, delivered excellent dining experiences, been an inspiration to his team and other food professionals and have been with the current hotel or facility for a minimum of six (06) months.

Pastry Chef Of The Year
This award recognises an individual who has exceptional talent in pastry creation, and drives the success and quality of pastry/dessert products offered at an outlet or various outlets. Eligible candidates must have a minimum of six (06) months working experience in a current hotel or facility.

This award recognises a restaurant/restaurant chain that serves ethnic or Middle Eastern inspired cuisine that promotes quality and excellence in food, atmosphere and service. Eligible restaurants must have demonstrated a well-maintained standard of excellence in all culinary and service aspects including hygiene and cleanliness. The nominated restaurant must have consistently exceeded excellence standards, provided extraordinary guest dining experiences and been operational for a minimum of six (06) months.

This award recognises a food and beverage manager who is knowledgeable, highly competent professional. The nominee must be directly involved and responsible for food and beverage outlets and banquet facilities in an Abu Dhabi hotel environment where they have been working for a minimum of six (06) months.

Executive Chef Of The Year presented by Abu Dhabi Media
This award recognizes an executive chef who is directly involved and responsible for food and beverage outlets and banquet facilities in an Abu Dhabi hotel /organization. Eligible candidates must have consistently set standards of excellence in the culinary arts, delivered excellent dining experiences, been an inspiration to his team and other food professionals. He/ she have been with the current hotel or facility for a minimum of six (06) months.

Spirit of the Festival
This new category has been introduced by Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority, the festival organiser, to reward an outlet judged to have most actively promoted and embraced the festival. The winner, selected by TCA Abu Dhabi following five years of unwavering support, is an independent restaurant which has over-delivered in every festival since 2009. Its on-going support for Gourmet Abu Dhabi and the team’s passion in driving forward the emirate’s sustainable fine dining agenda has been an enlightening and encouraging experience for many years now.
