At the age of 19, Thai Chef Jungprai ventured to Europe to broaden his culinary skills. He started his career path in the Blue Elephant restaurant in Denmark from where he progressed to being an executive chef in Brussels, Belgium and later corporate chef for the Blue Elephant Group worldwide in 2000.
In 2002, he returned to Bangkok to open the Blue Elephant Cooking School and Restaurant as Executive Chef, in addition to taking on the role of Project Manager for Blue Elephant’s ready meal product lines in Belgium and Thailand. Now, Chef Jungprai is a well-known celebrity and holds many positions across a variety of associations. Utilising his wealth of public and industry achievements, Chef Jangprai’s chief responsibilities as Anantara’s new Thai Culinary Director are to standardise Anantara’s delivery of excellent Thai cuisine, oversee training and Thai chef certification and devise Thai restaurant, cook book and cooking school concepts.
